THE HONEST TRUTH
Australian operators are running world-class fleets on software built for someone else's market.
US platforms ignore EFTPOS and MPTP. Generic systems don't know the difference between NSW and VIC licensing. And nobody was handling the regulatory fragmentation that makes running a multi-state fleet in Australia uniquely hard.
01
Six states. Six rule books.
NSW follows the Passenger Transport Act. Victoria requires CPVV alignment. Queensland runs on TOFTA. SA just completed a landmark 2025 reform. Each state is a different compliance exercise.
02
Payments built for the US, not for Australians.
EFTPOS isn't a nice-to-have in Australia — it's the default. MPTP cards in Victoria. TTSS in NSW. Cabcharge integration. Platforms that miss these lose rides every day.
03
Data sovereignty that isn't taken seriously.
The Australian Privacy Principles require careful data handling. The Notifiable Data Breach scheme demands documented response. Most offshore platforms treat this as an afterthought.
THE QUESTION OPERATORS ASK
"Where is our passenger data? Is it leaving Australia?"
Under the Australian Privacy Principles, operators are responsible for how personal data is collected, stored, and accessed — including by the software providers they use. Most SaaS platforms host data in the US by default and bury a cross-border disclosure in the T&Cs. That's not good enough when your passengers' trip history, payment records, and locations are involved.
HOW YELOWSOFT HANDLES IT
Your data stays in Australia. In writing.
We host all passenger, driver, and financial data in AWS ap-southeast-2 (Sydney). It never crosses to offshore servers without your explicit written consent. We provide a formal Data Processing Agreement aligned to the 13 Australian Privacy Principles.
HOW YELOWSOFT HANDLES IT
Every way Australians pay — including the ones that matter most.
We've built native support for Australian payment rails — not a generic international gateway that happens to accept AUD.
THE FRUSTRATION OPERATORS LIVE WITH
"Our system doesn't support EFTPOS properly. We're losing corporate riders every day."
Australians pay by card, contactless, or subsidy scheme. Cash is declining. EFTPOS isn't an integration that can wait — it's the expectation at the end of every single ride. And government subsidy schemes like MPTP (Victoria) and TTSS (NSW) aren't optional for operators serving eligible passengers.
THE COMPLIANCE NIGHTMARE
"We operate in NSW and VIC. The rules are completely different and our old system doesn't know the difference."
Multi-state operators in Australia face what the industry calls regulatory fragmentation: inconsistent fare caps, different vehicle age limits, state-specific driver accreditation, and varying camera requirements. A system that treats all of Australia as one jurisdiction is a liability waiting to happen.
HOW YELOWSOFT HANDLES IT
One platform. Six state rule books. Zero manual crosschecking.
Each state is configured as a separate compliance environment within your dashboard. Drivers, fares, and dispatch rules all inherit the correct framework for the jurisdiction they're operating in.
HOW YELOWSOFT HANDLES IT
Somebody picks up. Every time.
Not a ticket. Not a bot. A person who knows your operation — day, night, weekend, and public holiday.
THE 2AM CALL NOBODY ANSWERS
"Our dispatch went down on a Friday night in peak hour. Support took 6 hours to respond."
Taxi operations don't stop at 5pm. Saturday night airport runs, Sunday morning hospital transport, and Monday morning corporate pickups all rely on dispatch working — perfectly, continuously. An outage isn't an inconvenience. It's revenue walking out the door and reputation taking the hit.
BUILT FOR AUSTRALIA
Nine features that only matter if you actually operate here.
Not features borrowed from a US product and relabelled. Features designed around what Australian taxi and private hire operators actually need.
Australian Airport Management
Purpose-built zone management for SYD, MEL, BNE, PER, ADL, and every major Australian airport. Terminal-specific pickup bays, flight delay tracking, and ground transport supervisor integrations.
Airport OperatorsCorporate Account Billing
Monthly invoiced accounts for ASX-listed companies, law firms, and government departments. Cost centres, purchase order references, per-employee spend limits, and GST tax invoices that meet ATO requirements.
Corporate TransportNDIS Transport & WAV Dispatch
Wheelchair-accessible vehicle assignment, NDIS participant profiles, support coordinator access, and direct plan manager invoicing. Full NDIS invoicing workflow built in — not bolted on.
Disability TransportEV Fleet & Clean Fleet Management
As Australian states introduce clean vehicle incentives and emission zone pilots, our routing engine accounts for EV range and integrates with ChargeFox and Evie Networks charge point data across the country.
EV ReadyHybrid Phone + App Dispatch
Phone bookings still dominate in regional Queensland, Tasmania, and outer suburbs. Our telephony integration works with Australian VoIP and PSTN providers — phone jobs flow into the same queue as app bookings.
Regional Operators13cabs & GoCatch Integration
Accept jobs from Australia's established taxi networks and emerging booking channels. Jobs flow directly into your dispatch queue without double-entry — one dashboard, all your booking sources.
Network BookingsIn-Vehicle CCTV Compliance
CCTV compliance flagging per driver profile. Mandatory for SA operators under the 2025 reform package and for Victoria point-to-point vehicles. Auto-prevents dispatch of non-compliant vehicles to covered zones.
Safety ComplianceATO & BAS-Ready Reporting
GST summaries, driver income statements for T1 and T2 schedules, and operator commission reports formatted for Australian tax requirements. Your accountant's year-end workload — cut significantly.
Tax & ComplianceRegional & Rural Coverage
Regional operators in Cairns, Townsville, Ballarat, and the NT face different demand patterns and data coverage challenges. Our platform handles offline booking capture and low-bandwidth driver apps for patchy 4G areas.
Regional AustraliaYour passengers trust you with their data. Trust us to protect it properly.
The Australian Privacy Principles aren't optional. Here's exactly how we meet every one of them.
?"Where is our passenger data actually stored — are you using US servers?"
No. All data is hosted in AWS ap-southeast-2 (Sydney, Australia). It never transfers to overseas servers without your written consent. We provide a contractual data residency guarantee as part of onboarding — not buried in a terms update six months later.
?"What happens if there's a notifiable data breach?"
We notify you within 72 hours, provide full incident detail, and manage OAIC reporting obligations under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme. We carry cyber liability insurance and run quarterly pen tests with an independent Australian security firm. This isn't boilerplate — it's a documented incident response plan we can share on request.
?"We have CCTV in our cabs — does your system handle that data correctly under the APPs?"
Yes. In-vehicle CCTV footage and associated passenger data is treated as sensitive personal information under the APPs. Our system flags recording status per vehicle, manages retention periods per state requirements, and does not allow unauthorised third-party access to footage data.
?"Can we leave and take our data with us?"
Always. We provide a full export — all trip records, customer data, driver profiles, and financial history — within 5 business days, in CSV and JSON. We then securely delete your data and provide written confirmation. Australian APP 12 gives your passengers access rights to their data; we honour that.

ONE MORE THING
We built the full NDIS transport workflow. From booking to plan manager invoice.
NDIS transport is a significant and growing revenue source for Australian taxi operators — and one that most dispatch platforms handle badly. We don't just flag a ride as "accessible." We manage the entire NDIS participant journey.
From first call to live dispatch in under two weeks.
We've onboarded operators across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and regional Australia. Here's exactly what happens.
Discovery call
30 minutes. We learn your state(s), fleet size, current software, payment setup, and the three things that frustrate you most.
Custom AU demo
Live demo built around your city, state compliance rules, payment methods, and vehicle mix. Not slides. A running system.
Data migration
We move your driver records, customer accounts, and booking history. You don't lose a single record. No blank-slate starts.
Go live
7–14 days. Your account manager stays on call for your first 30 days. You're not handed a help doc and left alone.

Frequently asked questions
No. One system handles all your states from a single admin dashboard. Each state is configured as a separate compliance environment — different fare caps, different accreditation authorities, different subsidy card types. A driver licensed in NSW won't be dispatched on a VIC job that requires CPVV accreditation they don't hold.
Yes. Phone bookings entered by your dispatcher appear in the same queue as app and web bookings. We integrate with Australian VoIP providers and PSTN lines. For operators in regional QLD, NT, or outer suburbs with patchy data coverage, we also offer offline booking capture in the driver app.
Yes. The SA 2025 CPV Industry Reform Package — including the new camera mandate, annual indexation of fares, and statewide accreditation changes — is already incorporated into our SA compliance module. We monitor regulatory changes across all states and update compliance configurations without charging operators for every change.
Yes. VIC CPV QR code compliance is supported. The QR code links passengers to their rights and complaint channels as required by Safe Transport Victoria's March 2026 reform. Our fleet management module tracks QR code display status as part of vehicle compliance records.
Your customers download an app with your name, your logo, and your brand colours on the App Store and Google Play. There is no YelowSoft branding visible to passengers or drivers. We handle App Store and Google Play submission as part of setup — this is included, not an add-on.
You receive a complete export of all trip records, customer data, driver profiles, and financial history within 5 business days, in CSV and JSON formats. We then securely delete your data from our systems and provide a written deletion confirmation. No exit fees. Your data always belonged to you.
